Configure-to-order exposes a product space that engineering has already bounded: approved assemblies, compatibility, options, interfaces, pricing, and production output remain synchronized as a user configures a unit.
The catalog is executable
Components need identifiers, parameters, compatible interfaces, required companions, option dependencies, commercial data, and lifecycle status. A picture library alone cannot validate a configuration.
Rules protect manufacturability
Connection type, geometric clearance, service zones, structural limits, product options, and production constraints determine which combinations can advance.
Outputs connect the thread
A useful result includes the saved 3D configuration, connection record, pricing, bill of materials, version, and downstream identifiers needed by design, ERP, production, quality, and field teams.
Pilot one product family
Begin with one repeatable bathroom pod, kitchen pod, wall system, service module, or other bounded family. Prove option coverage, invalid-combination blocking, output accuracy, and ownership before expanding the catalog.
